Force Protection measures Increased

SCHOFIELD BARRACKS – Army installations on Oahu will increase force protection measures beginning tomorrow morning. This increase is consistent with a Pacific Command directive to move to more stringent access controls as a precautionary measure, Army officials said. Personnel accessing Army installations should expect increased security and should be prepared for possible delays. Personnel should be prepared for vehicle inspections and 100 percent identification card checks. These measures are a prudent, precautionary step in our continuing effort to provide safe and secure environments for our soldiers, family members and civilian employees, according to Army officials. The increase in force protection measures at Army installations will remain in effect until further notice.
