CSM Jon R. Stanley



CSM Jon R. Stanley entered the U.S. Army in 1990 and completed Basic and Advanced Individual Training as a Combat Engineer, MOS 21B, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
CSM Stanley’s assignments include: D Company, 10th Engineer Battalion, Kitzengen and Schweinfurt Germany; C Company 41st Engineer Battalion, 501st PIR, Fort Richardson, Alaska; HHC 577th Engineer Battalion, Sapper Leader Course, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; C Company, 307th Engineer Battalion, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; A Company 27th Engineer Battalion (C)(A), Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Iraq. He has served in all leadership positions from Team Leader through First Sergeant in the Combat Engineer community. CSM Stanley is currently assigned to 3rd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division as the Battalion Command Sergeant Major.

CSM Stanley’s military education includes the Primary Leadership Development Course, Sapper Leader Course, Basic and Advanced Airborne School, Air Assault School, Pathfinder School, Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course, Summer and Winter Mountain Warfare School, Ranger School, Advanced Noncommissioned Officers Course, and United States Army Sergeants Major Academy.

CSM Stanley’s military awards include: Bronze Star (3OLC), MSM (OLC), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (6OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal 6th Award, National Defense Service Medal (OLC), Southwest Asia Service Medal with bronze star, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terror Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (5OLC), Kuwait Liberation Medal (Saudi Arabia), NATO Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation, Master Parachutist Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Air Assault Badge, Combat Action Badge, Ram’s Head Device, German Parachutist Wings, The Sapper Tab, and The Ranger Tab.

CSM Stanley is a graduate of Class 58 of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Fort Bliss, Texas. He holds an Associates Degree from Central Texas College, and is working toward a Bachelor’s Degree through Excelsior College.
