325th Brigade Support Battalion Commander

LTC Irving H. Cross Jr.

LTC Irving H. Cross Jr. is a graduate of the State University of New York at Brockport with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He was commissioned and branch detailed as an Infantry Officer via the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC).

He served as an Infantry Rifle Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer in Delta Company, 1-12th Infantry Battalion; Supply and Service Officer, 64th Forward Support Battalion (FSB) and Brigade Assistant S4, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, CO.  During this period, he deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation Intrinsic Action.

He commanded HQ/A Company, 710th Main Support Battalion (MSB), 10th Division Support Command (DISCOM), served as the 10th DISCOM Plans and Operation Officer and Division G4 (FWD) Logistics Planner, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, NY. During this period, he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).

His key field grade assignments included service as an Observer/Controller at the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC), Fort Polk, LA; Brigade S4, 1st Brigade Combat Team (BCT) and Support Operation Officer, 10th Brigade Support Battalion (BSB), 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, NY where he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF); most recently he served as the Future Operations Branch Chief of the Joint Logistics Operations Center (JLOC), United States European Command's (USEUCOM) J4.

LTC Cross completed the Infantry Officer Basic Course (IOBC), Combined Logistics Captains Career Course (CLC3), Combined Arms and Services Staff School (CAS3), and the Command and General Staff College (CGSC) Intermediate Level Education (ILE). He graduated from Webster University earning a Master's Degree in Management and Leadership.

His awards and decorations include the Expert Infantryman's Badge, the U.S. Army Parachutist Badge, the U.S. Army Air Assault Badge, the U.S. Army Parachute Rigger Badge, the Royal Australian Army Parachutist Badge, the Bronze Star Medal, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2 OLC), the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (3 OLC), the Army Achievement Medal (5 OLC), and various other campaign medals.
