Lieutenant Colonel Lori L. Robinson
LTC Lori L. Robinson is a native of Paterson, New Jersey and received her commission in the Aviation Branch from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1994.
She attended the Aviation Officer Basic, Initial Entry Rotary Wing, and CH-47D Qualification Courses at Fort Rucker, Alabama prior to her first assignment at Camp Humphreys, Korea with B Company, 2d Battalion, 52d Aviation Regiment, “Innkeepers”, as a CH-47D Flight Platoon Leader. Following this tour, LTC Robinson was assigned to the 18th Aviation Brigade at Fort Bragg, North Carolina where she served initially as the Brigade Assistant S-4, followed by assignments as the III/V Platoon Leader and Flight Operations Officer for C Company, 159th Aviation Regiment, “Flipper”. She also served as the Task Force S-3 at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras for heavy lift assets deployed to Central America for humanitarian relief efforts following Hurricane Mitch.
LTC Robinson completed the Aviation Captain’s Career Course prior to her next assignment to Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii where she served as the CH-47D Maintenance Platoon Leader (AVUM) and Company Commander for B Company, 214th Aviation Regiment, “Hillclimbers”. She completed her tour in Hawaii as the Executive Officer for C Company, 25th Aviation Regiment (AVIM).
Returning to West Point, LTC Robinson served as the Aviation Branch Representative and Military Science Instructor in the Department of Military Instruction (DMI). She then attended the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Following schooling, she served a second tour in Korea as the Battalion S-3 for 3-2 Aviation Regiment (GSAB), “Nightmare”, at Camp Humphreys and the Brigade Aviation Officer for 1st Heavy Brigade Combat Team at Camp Hovey, “Iron Team”.
LTC Robinson was then assigned to the 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) at Fort Drum, New York where she deployed to Iraq to serve as the Deputy G-3 Air and Aviation Planner for Multi-National Division-Center. Returning to Fort Drum, she served as the Secretary of the General Staff for the 10th Mountain Division Command Group.
LTC Robinson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace) from the United States Military Academy and a Masters of Public Administration from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City.
Her military awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (1 OLC), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (2 OLC), Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Citation, Senior Army Aviator Badge, Parachutist Badge, and the Air Assault Badge.
