Lieutenant Colonel Keriem X. Kvalevog

Lieutenant Colonel Keriem X. Kvalevog was commissioned in 1992 upon graduation from Campbell University (CU). She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Pre-medicine from CU. Her military education includes the Aviation Officer Basic Course, Aviation Officer Advance Course, Combined Arms and Services Staff School (CAS3), Defense Information School (DINFOS), and the Command and General Staff College (CGSC). Her aviation training includes the initial entry Rotary Wing Course, Aviation Maintenance Officer Course, the AH-64 Qualification Course, and the UH-60 Qualification Course.

In her first assignment, she served as a Scout Platoon Leader in C Company, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Aviation Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Stanley, Korea. While serving in Hawaii, her positions included Scout Platoon Leader with C Troop, 5/9 Cavalry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division (L) and Company Executive Officer and Battalion Maintenance Officer with 2-25th Aviation Regiment, 25th Infantry Division (L), Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii. After moving to Illesheim, Germany, she served as the Battalion S-1 and the A Company, Maintenance Platoon Leader for the 7-159th Aviation Regiment.

She commanded HHD, 7-159th Aviation Regiment, followed by command of the Aviation Intermediate Maintenance Company, A Company, 7-159th Aviation Regiment, Stork Barracks, Illesheim, Germany. Her final company-grade assignment came as the Chief of the Strategic Communications Branch, Army Well-Being Division at the Army Pentagon, Washington, DC. She then moved to the Office of the Chief of Staff of the Army as the Outreach Officer for the Chief’s Communication Division.

Following her tour in the Pentagon she served as the Maintenance Commander and Brigade Executive Officer for the Aviation Center Logistics Command (ACLC), Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Management Command (AMCOM), Fort Rucker, AL. LTC Kvalevog deployed with the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force, as the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force Liaison Officer to the Combined Joint Task Force in Bagram, Afghanistan. After deployment, she returned to Fort Rucker to serve as the ACLC Maintenance Commander.

LTC Kvalevog’s awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (with two Oak Leaf Cluster), the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (with Oak Leaf Cluster), the Army Achievement Medal (with two Oak Leaf Clusters), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, NATO Medal, the Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Korean Defense Service Medal. She was recognized as the Fort Rucker 2010 Professional Woman of the Year.

LTC Kvalevog wears the Army Senior Aviation Badge, the Parachutist Badge, the Air Assault Badge and the Army Staff Identification Badge.
