Maj. Gen. Eric T. Olson and Command Sgt. Major Frank Ashe stand at attention after the 25th Inf. Division (Light) colors are uncased at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan on April 15, 2004. This is the first time the Division colors have deployed to combat since the Vietnam War. Maj. Gen. Olson cased the colors during a deployment ceremony at Schofield Barracks on March 18. The colors were carried by Staff Sgt. Brian Mincey. The 25th ID (L) headquarters is serving as the Combined Joint Task Force Headquarters for a 12 month deployment to Operation Enduring Freedom-Afghanistan. The 3rd Brigade Combat Team, Division Support Command, Aviation Brigade and 45th Corps Support Group (Forward) units are also deploying as part of the 5,000 Schofield Soldiers deploying to Afghanistan through the end of May.
